Tubes

Last Wednesday came and went without a glitch. We were scheduled for Camy to get Tubes at 11:30am and she was perfect. Camy liked being with just me at the hospital and managed to be her happy self although she was starving. She liked all the attention that she got from the nurses and even got a sticker for saying thank you. She thought she was so cool.
They took her back and it was hard on me but not as hard as Carson's had been. Carson was crying and calling out for me. Camy reached for me but the nurse just said bye and walked through the door. I didn't hear her cry but she might have. I was in the waiting room for about 5 minutes when the doctor came out and got me. He said everything went as smootly as possible and that I would be able to see her in a few minutes.
When they called me back she was relieved to see me but was so limp. I was able to hold her and cuddle her which was fun. The only thing they had for her to drink out of was one of the bottles they give newborns and she was already drinking it when I got back there. She thought it was weird but once it was filled with juice she wouldn't give it up. She downed a ton of juice and was ready to go home in about an hour.
Camy was back to her normal self within the next hour and played like normal. Now it looks like she is getting her first year molars and is as cranky as can be. If it isn't one thing it's another.
I am so thankful that things went so smoothly with my baby. She is such a doll and I hate to see her in pain.
Here is the only picture I have of her because I was holding her and it was hard to manage her and the camera.

  1. at least she wasn't teething while she was getting the tubes (or before) She's adorable, glad all went well.
