Keeper was out of town on business on Carson's actual birthday so we just hung out and had fun around the house. We did go through the drive-thu at Carl's Jr...which is Carson's favorite restaurant...aka "The Star Place".
I also made a cake and let the kids decorate it. They thought this was the coolest thing ever! It was supposed to be red, although it looks pink. It had Halloween, Valentine and any other sprinkle we had on it. It was so fun!
Once Keeper was back in town and we could work out a time for my family to come over we had a little party for Carson. He wanted a T-rex cake and a pinata. It was fun letting him play such a big role in the planning of the party. He definitely knows what he wants.
Carson helped with the cake. He put the gumballs all along the outside and put them in a specific pattern.
Carson also helped make marshmellow fondant. He loved that I let him play in a bag of powdered sugar.
The finished cake. Not the best one I've ever done but Carson thought it was the coolest and that's what counts.
The party and presents.
SO CARSON!
Pinata-so worth it to see that smile!

I hope your birthday was wonderful Carson! We love you buddy!
Wow, this brought be right back to when Brady was 5. Such a sweet age. Watch out, you're gonna blink and he'll be 14 (how does this happen?)
