Putting the kids to work

Keeper grew up on a farm and he had to work or the animals weren't fed and there were major consequences. Living in the city, we've had a hard time teaching our little ones to work. I know they are all really young still but we think it needs to start at a young age. We decided to start chores and make the kids help with all the major things in the house. It is so much more work for me to have them do it, but the love it!

What Bryn thinks about fruit

Brynlee eats orange veggies like a champ now. I tried fruit and I guess the pictures say it all.

HaHaHa! I love her so much!

Basketball

We signed the boys up for basketball and they started in January. Carson did "Little Dribblers" which teaches the basic skills of basketball and Parker was actually on a team and plays games and such. They have absolutely loved it! Carson is getting better and loves that we come to watch him. Parker is the smallest on his team but has made a few shots in the games so that has made his day. He loves the kids on his team and his coach is awesome! He makes Parker feel special. We have all loved this basketball season. I'm sure we will do it next year too.
The pictures aren't great. Fighting 3 little kids while trying to take pictures with a camera that was banged up in a car accident does produce the best results but they work:)

I love Parker's face when he's defending someone. It's like he's trying to scare the other kid:)

Kiddie Park

As part of Carson's "month of celebration" we let him pick a friend to go with us to Kiddie Park. This is a place that even my dad went to when he was little. It is old but was just redone and the kids love it! My kids are the perfect size for it.

Carson's 4

Carson turned four on January 13th. He is such a fun kid and definitely keeps us on our toes. The other day my mom was watching him and she said, "Man, he is ALL boy!" That pretty much sums up Carson. He loves being outside and anything dealing with animals. He is also the LOUDEST kid I've ever been around. I baby-sat a lot growing up and then worked at a couple of different day cares. Carson definitely wins the loudest award by a long shot. Getting that kid through church without wanting to beat him is a miracle.
Carson is also the sweetest little boy. He kisses Brynlee until she is begging for some space. He's great about taking Camy outside to play. He wants to do anything Parker does and really looks up to him. And anytime I'm somewhat doubting myself there is ALWAYS a hug and a "You are the best mom ever" from my sweet Carson.
We are so glad that he is part of our family.

Here are a few facts about Carson:
Favorite animal:snails, fish and turtles
Favorite food:Mac and Cheese and hot dogs
Favorite place to go: the mall (because of the cookies)
Favorite thing to wear:basketball shorts (the winter kills him)

We had a little party on the day of his birthday with monkey cake pops. They didn't turn out exactly how I wanted them to but he loved them.

Carson got a fish tank for his birthday. We've had some issues keeping them alive but the boys love having it in their room.

Brynlee got RSV right around Carson's birthday so we did a party with my family for him a little late. All he wanted for the party was a pinata and a banana flavored Monkey shaped cake. I think we succeeded on both.

The banana monkey cake. It was actually pretty good.

Present time

Carson insisted in a picture of all of his presents together. Had to document it.:)

We love our little Carson. He's so much fun! Love ya, Stickers!

The little things

Being a mom is hard with the everyday fighting and bickering but sometimes it all pays off and it is so worth it! Enjoy some cute picture of my life. I wouldn't trade it for the world!
Sorry...there are a lot of pictures.

Parker is such a good helper with Brynlee. I thought it was so cute that he was trying to help her read. What a sweet kid!

I didn't get many cute pictures of Brynlee in her blessing gown. I thought these turned out better.

And a couple naked ones too. What a cute baby!

I love my blue-eyed baby!

Camy fell asleep with a "spree" in her mouth. Yep, that's a piece of candy sticking out of her mouth. What a kid!

Camy also feel asleep eating a candy cane on our way home from church. :)

Bryn is teething. Can you tell?

OK...so we all have our moments where we aren't too smart. I had one. I know...hard to believe, right? Well, as I said before, Bryn's teething. I had always heard that you could freeze a teething ring and give it to the baby. I was trying to get dinner ready and she was crying so I stuck her in the highchair with an otter pop. It wasn't open and she should be fine right? She quieted right down and I got dinner made. Win/Win right? Wrong! When I got her out of the highchair her cheeks were bright red. The popsicle thing had burned her little cheeks:( My poor baby! It's taken weeks for it to go away. Learn from my mistakes-never give your baby an otter pop to chew on.
