Poor Carson

On Saturday evening Carson came down with a fever. It got to be really high so we were borderlined taking him to the ER. The meds worked so we didn't but Sunday was just as scary. Keeper had to teach Sunday School and I had to teach Young Womens. Keeper took Parker and I stayed home with Carson and Camy. I decided that I would drive up at the end of Sunday School and we would trade and Keeper could take the little ones home. After Keeper left I got in the shower and Carson was watching Diego (not the usual but when you are sick you get whatever you want.) I came out and Carson was alseep in a weird position so I moved him and he woke up but was acting really weird. His movements were all jerky and he wasn't really responding but he was looking at me. His eyes were kinda glassy looking too. I got so scared! I called the doctor and she said it's better to be safe than sorry. My mom said that too. With the opinion of those two I knew I needed to do something. So, with the other teacher taking the Beehives for me, we were off to the Urgent Care Clinic. Of course when we get there he is actually acting normal and starting to ask for food. We had him be seen anyway and he has 2 ear infections again. The nurse practitioner was also very impressed with the size of his tonsils. Now he is on antibiotics again. He is going to see the pediatric ENT in July (the soonest they could get him in.) Maybe this time the doctor will think that he needs his tonsils out. He said the if Carson got another ear infection in the next 2 months to schedule another appointment. It's been less than a month and he has 2. Poor baby! Hopefully we can get all this taken care of.

  1. My goodness how scary! I'm glad you found out what was wrong. I remember Bradley seizing when he was 4 and no one knew why. He was in the hospital for a day doing tests and everything was negative. Not a fun time for my parents. I know a few kids who got their tonsils out (or who are about to) and they are so much better! We'll keep him in our prayers.
